  • Credentials

  • A Profile GUID

  • The WSDL Address

  • Development Environment

  • SOAPUI (recommended)

  • Test Data

Step by Step

The purpose of this guide is to allow you to check connectivity to the service only, it will not give you a reflection on service performance.

Once your paperwork has been processed you will be issued with a test service, login details for ID3global (not the Support website credentials) and a Profile GUID; please use a Version number of 0

  1. Attempt to sign in at least once to the portal (http://www.ID3global.com/GlobalID) and ensure you’ve changed your password and PIN

  2. We would recommend that you use the check credentials method initially to check connectivity to ensure there are no firewall or network issues

  3. Go to this URL and review an XML request for the territory you are interested in using (for example UK Fixed Address Format).

  4. Enter your credentials, Profile GUID (and version) and Input Test

  5. Send the parameters via the SOAP API (https://www.id3global.com/ID3gWS/ID3global.svc?wsdl) and observe the response.

  6. Click here to view our SOAPUI guide, to quickly and efficiently check your SOAP statements.

  7. Any errors will be returned via a SOAP exception

    1. If there is an error, review the error and adjust accordingly

    2. If no error, you will receive back via the API a full response

  8. The response contains Band Text Scoring and also each granular match from each Item Check. We would recommend basing your decision on the BandText returned as this gives an overall decision based on the configuration of the service

  9. Each territory may require specific parameters (please refer to the Mandatory Fields spreadsheet)
